Robert James "Jim" Leary
Join HCA on August 3, 2024 for the dedication of Stairway to Heaven. An Art Gallery featuring Jim Leary's creation Located in the Avon Park Community and Cultural Center.
Jim Leary specialized in creating unique, one of a kind antique window art. His passion was searching for old, unique wooden windows from all over the country and turning them into beautiful works of art that can be admired and gazed through once again.
Although he went to school for architectural drafting, he discovered art was what he truly enjoyed. When his artwork overtook the walls of his own home, Jim decided to start sharing and selling his work. After a few art shows in his former hometown, Jim realized he could retire and enjoy creating his art full time.
Jim stated that his favorite part of being an artist was, “seeing what no one else can see.” His unique work shows he did exactly that.
